1st Playoff Game

We had an phenomenal first playoff game. Bob's sister JoAnne, brother-in-law Dan and their son, Kevin actually flew in from Chicago to see the game first hand. What an amazing family they are.

Turns out they were good luck. We were the home team, so we had last bats each inning. The first inning was scoreless and we had 2 outs with our first 2 batters. Our 3rd batter got on base. Shane got on base next. Then Sören came up. He had 2 balls and no strikes. Then the big hit from the kid pitcher, not the coach pitch. It was a slow, high hit the sailed over and dropped just past the back fence. A 3 run HOMER! His first one of the season in the first playoff game. It was truly amazing and with all of their fans there! My grandparents were seated behind the left field fence and the ball dropped about 10 feet away from them. It was very cool.

Shane later doubled, they both pitched well and we ended up winning the game 9 to 1.

Our next game is this Thursday. It is a single elimination series. The championship game, if we make it, will be on Saturday at noon. We'll keep you posted. I'll try to post photos too.
GO MUDCATS!!
