Wow, weekends are busier than weekdays! Friday evening - Gingerbread houses making in downtown Santa Cruz at Marini's, a candy store. We did this last year and was so much fun, so we did it again. They give you a pre-made gingerbread house with real gingerbread baked there. Then you get on your apron and get to work. There are cups of candy every where for you to choose from and frosting in a frosting bag to use as your glue. The best part is that you can eat all the candy you want as you are working on putting your house together. Last year our houses lasted until St. Patrick's day without a piece coming off. This year, well I guess it was too tempting. The gingerbread was too delicious. Shane tore off his door of the house as soon as we got home. I took some photos before this happened.
